Vacation planning has now been made extremely easy and accessible with the new cell phone technologies and online websites. Whether it is finding directions to a decided vacation spot through MapQuest or booking of hotels through TripAdvisor, all the little vacation details can be taken care of through phone apps and laptops.
While majority of the people now rely on technology, there are still a few others who prefer to take inputs from their travel agents to plan the perfect vacation. Their initial research of course is done via the internet after which they go to travel agents either due to lack of knowledge of vacation planning or just because they prefer some sort of personal guidance.
Slowly and gradually even social media websites like Facebook and Twitter also play an important role in an individual's vacation planning process, since they create a platform to share experiences and make suggestions.
While Tim Davis, president of Suzi Davis Travel requests her clients to work out potential vacation options with the use of internet before approaching them, Janessa Orwig of Bloomington herself makes use of homeaway.com that allows renting of homes and other vacation properties.
